1. About the App
XXVI HD Video Downloader is a video downloader and media utility app that provides a built-in web browser, automatic detection of downloadable videos on supported websites, a download manager, a status saver, a built-in video player, and download/browsing history. The App is designed to help users save and manage media content that is not protected by copyright or for which the user holds the rights or has permission to download.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or other personally identifying information to use its core features. If you contact us for support, we will receive the information you choose to share (such as your email address and the contents of your message).
b. Information Collected Automatically
Like most mobile apps, certain information is collected automatically by the App and by the third-party services it uses, including:
- Device & technical information — device model, operating system version, language, region, app version, and unique identifiers such as the Advertising ID.
- Usage & diagnostic data — app interactions, feature usage, crash logs, and performance data used to keep the App stable and improve it.
- Approximate/coarse information — such as general region derived from IP address, used by advertising and analytics providers.
- Push notification tokens — a token used to deliver push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
c. Content Stored Only on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or to our servers:
- Videos, images, statuses, and other media you download or save.
- Your download queue and download history.
- Your in-app browsing history and any URLs you copy or save.
- App settings and preferences.
3. Permissions We Request
The App requests only the permissions needed to provide its features:
| Permission | Why it is used |
|---|---|
| Internet & Network State | To load web pages in the in-app browser, download content, and check connectivity. |
| Storage / Read Media (Video & Images) | To save downloaded videos and images to your device and to display saved media and statuses within the App. |
| Wake Lock | To keep downloads running and prevent interruption while the screen is off. |
| Vibrate | To optionally notify you with a vibration when a download completes. |
| Notifications (Push) | To show download-status and service notifications and, where enabled, informational push notifications. |
Permissions vary by Android version. Media and storage access is used strictly to read and save media on your device; the App does not scan or upload your personal files.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App's features (browsing, detection, downloading, playback, status saving).
- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, monitor performance, and improve stability and usability.
- Understand aggregate usage trends to improve features.
- Display and measure advertising that keeps the App free.
- Deliver notifications related to downloads and the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Third-Party Services & SDKs
The App integrates third-party software development kits (SDKs) that may collect and process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob & Google Mobile Ads | Displaying advertisements and ad measurement | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) | Push notifications | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| AppMetrica (analytics) | App analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting | appmetrica.io/about/privacy |
| Meta Audience Network | Advertising and ad mediation | facebook.com/about/privacy |
| TradPlus (ad mediation) | Aggregating and optimizing ads across ad networks | tradplus.com/privacy |
These providers may act as independent data controllers for the data they collect. Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies, over which we have no control.
6. Advertising & Advertising ID
The App is supported by advertising. Our advertising partners may use the device's Advertising ID and related identifiers to serve, personalize, cap, and measure ads, and to detect fraud. Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
- Where required by law (e.g., in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we present a consent request (Google's User Messaging Platform / a consent management platform) before personalized ads are shown.
- You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
7. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only:
- With the third-party service providers listed above, solely to perform the functions described.
- To comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case data may be transferred subject to this Policy.
8. Downloaded Content & In-App Browser
The App provides a general-purpose web browser and download tools. Any content you access, view, or download is initiated by you, is stored locally on your device, and is your responsibility.
- The App does not host, own, or control any third-party content and is not affiliated with any website, brand, platform, or trademark accessed through it.
- The App is intended for downloading content that is not copyright-protected, or content that you own or have explicit permission from the rights holder to download.
- You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and the terms of service of any website you visit, and for respecting copyright and intellectual property rights.
- The in-app browser may use cookies and local storage to load websites correctly; these are controlled by the websites you visit and can be cleared from within the App.
9. Data Retention
Content and history stored on your device remain until you delete them or uninstall the App. Data processed by third-party services is retained according to their respective retention policies. Diagnostic and analytics data is typically retained in aggregated or de-identified form.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Data transmitted to third-party services is generally encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. This App is not part of the Google Play Families program.
12. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data held about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
- Request data portability.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at lateststatusvideo146@gmail.com. Many choices, such as ad personalization and Advertising ID, can also be managed directly in your device settings.
13. International Data Transfers
Our third-party providers may process and store data on servers located in countries other than your own. Where such transfers occur, they are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the providers' safeguards.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
